Matt White is an Author, Speaker, Brand Specialist, Customer and Employee Engagement Expert, and Executive META Coach.
Born and bred on a farm near Pietersburg, Matt enjoyed a humble upbringing and scholastic education. He spent countless carefree hours playing with his Sotho friends and indulging in a subsistence lifestyle. In his formative years, there were few indicators that he would one day have a significant influence on the branding and marketing industry, moulding and shaping business executives into successful leaders.
Matt studied information design at the University of Pretoria and is accredited with the International Institute of Advertising, Branding and Marketing. He holds a post-graduate diploma in performance and business coaching from UNISA, is an Associate Certified Meta Coach with the International Neuro-Semantics Institute, and has studied neuroplasticity in the field of psychoneuroendocrinology.
Currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Matt is regarded as a paragon in his unique application of neuroscience to the business model. His expertise in neuroplasticity, psychology, cognitive behavioural science, branding, and neuro-semantics influences his work. Moreover, his spheres of focus comprise entrepreneurship, innovation, coaching, and leadership; he facilitates customer and workplace engagement and simultaneously promotes agility and adaptability in these contexts. As a neuro-integrator, he provides tutoring and coaching on what motivates these attributes, what discourages them, and how leaders can connect in the moment.
In his role as an international executive meta coach, Matt uses a process that involves in-depth conversation, neuro-chemistry, and frameworks. He merges creativity with the science of identity, helping clients to solve business-branding challenges.
Abstract
In the current age where we live in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) we witness and experience the fusion of technologies that blur the lines between the physical, digital, and biological spheres.
Emerging technology breakthroughs in a number of fields, including robotics, artificial intelligence, blockchain, nanotechnology, quantum computing, biotechnology, The Internet of Things, 3D printing and autonomous vehicles impact the way we as humans work and live. Not only is the foundation of our economy shifting but also technology is disrupting almost every industry in every country. And the breadth and depth of these changes herald the transformation of entire systems of production, management, and governance.What the 4IR brought about is the real challenge that humans need to face in the Fifth Industrial Revolution (5IR) – what is my worth.
Prior industrial revolutions tended to replace humans for some tasks. Humans were able to move to other tasks and the machines made humans more productive. The 5IR will see smart machines replace humans, but leave them with no alternative.“The Business of Choice – How to get the most out of life” is a presentation that takes the audience through the twofold impact of the new age and suggested strategies for the future.
Firstly, addressing the need of how humans define and have to redefine them. We will no longer be lawyers, designers, pilots, etc. Thinking about ourselves in terms of our work, as the world won’t define us in those terms any longer, is from a bygone era.The first part of the presentation focuses on what humans must do with their time to access meaning and achieve actualisation.
Secondly, our income has been connected to our work, as was our status in society together with the influence we have. With the economic impact of the 5IR humans must find alternative ways to think about making money and drive the agenda the way our civilisation thinks about economy.
In the closing the presentation, “The Business of Choice – How to get the most out of life”, Matt White will offer practical neuroscience insights into the impact of the transition humans must undergo into the 5IR. He will share his frameworks that can be adopted for managing changing career and workplace dynamics and provide tools that will assist leaders with decision-making processes. As an Exponential Architect he will offer insights for systems that could govern and shape the way we live, delight employees and customers, and find meaning in and through the 5IR.
